New York transplant – Quanna is a rapper and singer born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. Exposure to street life at an early age motivated Quanna to focus on arts and songwriting. She is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University where she begin her music career. Since 2012 she has released two projects ‘The Mayan Theory Vol. 1’ and her September 2014 release ‘Q’.  With sights on being the most influential artist of our time, Quanna incorporates a variety of concepts from feminism to street life in her songs.  The artist was recently featured in Karmaloop’s “Afrostyle” editorial and a Anti Tobacco campaign for the city of Chicago. After releasing her single ‘Like Me’ last summer she wow’d fans and is generating a solid buzz in the hip hop community. In 2015 she has graced stages throughout the country including LGBT expo in NYC and SXSW in Austin, TX.  Quanna released her third independent project entitled “Queenie” on Jan. 26th 2016 and has received praised from many hip hop writers and fans. Be on the look out for her performances throughout New York and a city near you.
